Teaching with a Difference

Executive function and ADHD parent coaching in the UK, supporting neurodivergent families and educators.

Lived-experience support from a qualified teacher and executive functions coach in Hailsham, East Sussex, working with parents and education professionals across the UK.

Online ADHD parenting and school support for parents who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or exhausted by advice that was never designed for their family.

Support for schools and education professionals seeking clearer, strengths-based approaches to neurodivergent learners.

Support for Neurodivergent Families and the Systems Around Them

Teaching with a Difference works with both families and educators, recognising that neurodivergent children are supported by systems, not in isolation.

I offer:

This joined-up approach helps avoid misunderstandings, reduce pressure, and prevent burnout on all sides.

When Parenting a Neurodivergent Child Feels Overwhelming

Parenting a child with ADHD can feel relentless.

You care deeply, you try everything, yet nothing seems to stick. Advice often feels judgemental, unrealistic, or completely disconnected from the reality of your home.

Teaching with a Difference offers ADHD parent coaching that is practical, strengths-based, and grounded in real life. This work is not about fixing your child or becoming a “better” parent. It is about understanding what is really going on and finding approaches that genuinely work for you, your child, and your family system.

Based in Hailsham, East Sussex, I support parents online across the UK, as well as education professionals who want to better understand and support neurodivergent families.

Parent Coaching and ADHD Support for Neurodivergent Families

I work with parents of children with ADHD and other neurodivergent profiles who are:

This is parent coaching for neurodivergent families, not generic parenting advice.

Our work focuses on:

Support for Parent–School Relationships and Education Professionals

Many families I work with feel caught between home and school.

You may feel you are constantly explaining, justifying, or advocating, while still being misunderstood.

I offer support around:

This work also supports education professionals and schools who want a clearer, more compassionate understanding of neurodivergent learners and the families supporting them.

A Strengths-Based, Lived-Experience Approach to ADHD Parenting and Education

I am an executive functions and ADHD parent coach, an experienced primary school teacher, and a late-diagnosed ADHDer.

I understand the system from both sides. I know how far schools and teachers are being stretched as they try to find the time, staff, and resources to support neurodivergent learners. I also know how often parents are blamed, dismissed, or made to feel “difficult” when they are simply trying to support their child.

My approach is:

Strengths-based, not deficit-focused
Grounded in lived experience and empathy, not theory alone
Neurodivergent-affirming and non-judgemental
Practical, realistic, and flexible

You will not be told to “just be consistent”, “try harder”, or “use reward charts”.

Instead, we slow things down, identify what is actually getting in the way, and work with it.
